LAHORE – Police have arrested a teacher of a private academy for sexually assaulting a student in Raiwind town, located near Punjab capital Lahore.
Police filed a case against the suspect following a complaint from the father of the 12-year-old victim.
The complainant alleged that the teacher raped his son and also filmed him to blackmail him.
Following the complaint, Raiwind police arrested the suspect, identified as Naeem Rashid, and began investigating the matter.
Earlier this month, Lahore police claimed to have arrested a man who allegedly kidnapped, raped and killed a minor boy in the city’s Shalimar area.
On the second day of Eid-ul-Fitr in April, someone kidnapped the victim while they were playing on the street.
As police launched an investigation, investigators located the home of the main suspect, who lived in the same neighborhood.
During police interrogation, the suspect confessed to sexually assaulting the child and then murdering him to cover up his crime. The body of the minor boy was found in part of the suspect’s house.
